Part of inn, now shop and dwelling. C17 (VCH), refronted, heightened and altered mid and late C19. Timber framed with lath and plaster infill. Front range faced or rebuilt in colour-washed brick with brick string course and dentil cornice. Slate roof; brick stack. L-plan. 3 storeys; 2-window range. Late C19 shop front has central C20 door with overlight, 2 bay windows and fascia carried across entire facade, with pilaster at each end. Entrance on right has double-leaf doors and overlight. Sashes, on first floor with segmental brick arches, on second floor with painted wood lintels. Rear wing: Exposed framing to right side, and corner post. End wall rebuilt in brick. C19 red brick range, originally probably separate but now incorporated. Interior: Ground floor has broad-chamfered ceiling beams. Stone flat winder stairs. First floor has ceiling beams, some boxed, and 2-panelled door. C20 additions to rear. Nos.26, 30 and 32 were formerly the Talbot Inn.
