Houses, now flats. Rear range said to be dated 1610 on an internal beam (VCH),
front range to Malt Mill Lane mid C18 and early C19; rear range timber framed
with lath and plaster infill. Old tile roof, brick ridge stacks. Front range of
colourwashed brick, with stone quoins and string course, and wood eaves cove.
Section on right has brick dentil cornice only. Tile roofs; brick stack. L-plan.
Rear range 2 storeys; 3 bays. North side jettied, with late C20 brackets. On
ground floor staircase projects slightly from wall on right. C19 casements; on
first floor 2 canted bow windows with C17 sills and brackets, Small single
storey timber framed range faced in brick. Entrance in south side has C20 door.
Exposed timber framing, but not jettied. C20 fenestration. Left section of front
range: 2 storeys and attic with two C20 roof dormers; 3-window range. Double
leaf 6-panelled door on right has moulded wood surround and fanlight with
decorative glazing, and flanking quoins. Late C19/early C20 four-pane sashes
under gauged brick flat arches with keystones. Right section: 3 storeys,
one-window range. Ground floor has bow window; upper floors have sashes. To
rear: brick, with irregular late C20 fenestration. Interior: Noted as having
stop chamfered ceiling beams and room with late C17 panelling.
