approx. 12m. N of Shelfield
Lodge Farmhouse

Stable, loosebox and archway. Late C17/early C18. Flemish bond red brick with
dark blue headers. Brick string course and dentil cornice. Old tile roof with
vents. 2 storeys; 3 bays. Archway on left has gauged brick cambered arch, with
wider timber lintel and braced below. 2 blocked doorways with similar arches.
Doorway on left has C20 window inserted. 2 further C20 windows. To rear: C18/C19
outshut. English band brick with vents. 2 stable doors. Forms part of an
interesting group with Shelfield Lodqe (q.v.), cartshed and granary (q.v.) and
vehicle shed (q.v.). Included for group value.
