Farmhouse. Left part late C16; enlarged C17 and early C19; C18 and C19
alterations. Timber framed with brick infill; front roughcast. Right half
refaced in C18 red brick, Old tile roof; right section has concrete tiles and
gabled parapet; brick stacks, L-plan, extended to double-depth plan. 2 storeys
and attic; 4-window range, 2-storey gabled porch has ground floor of brick. C20
door and windows beneath mid C19 moulded wood fascia with brackets. 6-pane sash
above. Projecting gable with moulded bressumer. Left half and porch have mid C19
sashes, 16-pane to left, in heavily-moulded wood frames. Entrance to right has
C20 glazed dour and shallow hood, C19 and C20 casements. Central C16/C17 stack
of 6 diagonally-set square shafts with V-pilasters. Left return side has gable
an moulded bressumer. Right return side has brick external stack. To rear:
adjacent gabled timber framed ranges. Left range has square framing and jowled
posts, and whitewashed brick infill. Central range, wholly, and right range,
partly, underbuilt in C19 brick; right range has some plastered infill. Early
C19 brick range on right. Irregular fenestration Interior: Room with C16
moulded ogee stop-chamfered ceiling beam. Old blocked wood mullioned window
now in internal wall. Good late C18/early C19 fitted cupboards. Another room has
moulded ogee stop-chamfered bear and C18 cornice. Early C19 room has 2 window
architraves with Doric pilasters. Room with old 4-panelled door and corner
cupboard. 2-panelled doors with H-L hinges. Early C19 quarter turn staircase.
First floor room with chamfered cross beams. Other rooms have moulded beams.
