Pair of cottages. Late C16/early C17. Timber framed with substantial timbers and
brick infill; largely underbuilt in brick. Tile roof; brick internal stacks.
No.1 is 2-unit baffle entry; No.2, one-unit plan. One storey and attic; 3-window
range. Plank doors, One old leaded-light casement, and C19 and C20 casements.
Dormers. Left return side underbuilt with wide casement, but retains jowled
posts. Right return side pebble dashed. To rear: Small amount of exposed
trading. Interior: No.1 has open fireplace and winder stairs. oak board doors.
Broad-chamfered ceiling beam. No.1 is said to have been used as a needle
workshop.
