GV II

House. Part of row. Late C17, with early/mid C19 rear wing. Coursed squared
ironstone, with small amount of brick at eaves level on left; rear wing of
whitewashed brick. Roof of old tiles on left, late C20 tiles on right, has coped
gable parapet on left; brick ridge and right end stacks. Rear wing has slate
roof. 2-unit lobby-entry plan, extended to L-plan with wing on right to rear. 2
storeys and attic; 3-window range. Central C19/C20 half-glazed 4-panelled door;
mid/late C20 open timber porch with tile roof. Ground floor has 3-light
casements with single horizontal glazing bars. Small window on far left. First
floor has C19 two-light casement with glazing bars on left, small 2-light leaded
casement in centre and 3-light casement with horizontal glazing bars on right.
Painted wood lintels. Late C19 roof dormer on left has 2-light casement with
glazing bars. Rear wing has 2-light casements with many glazing bars. Interior:
stepped-stop broad-chamfered beams. Blocked open fireplace has chamfered
bressumer. Old 3-plank doors with strap hinges. Old quarter turn staircase.
First floor has stud partitions.
