13/127 The Old Manor and Old Manor


House and cottage, formerly several cottages. Late C16/early C17; Old Manor
Cottage possible C17/C18. Coursed squared ironstone. Straw thatched roofs; The
Old Manor has coped gable parapets; stone ridge stack at junction has 2 ashlar
shafts with moulded cornice; Old Manor Cottage has brick end stack. L-plan, with
Old Manor Cottage forming wing to right. The Old Manor is 2 storeys and attic;
2-window range. Splayed angle has half-glazed 4-panelled door and hood mould.
Stone double-chamfered mullioned windows with hood moulds. 3-light late C20
window to left. 2-light central staircase window. Single light above door.
Eyebrow dormer has 2-light staircase casement with horizontal glazing bar.
Interior noted as having open fireplace. Old Manor Cottage is one storey and
attic. Main front is to left return side. One-window range. Central late C20
half-glazed door. Late C20 three-light mullioned window to left. Single
staircase light and 2-light window to right. Single light above. Gable end has
late C20 two-light casements with concrete lintels. Interior not inspected.
