House. 1618; altered early C19; mid C20 additions and alterations. Coursed
squared ironstone. C20 tile roofs; stone stacks with splayed string courses and
moulded cornices. L-plan, with cross-wing on right. 2 storeys and attic;
2-window range. Entrance front has mid C20 porch with ribbed Tudor arch door and
doorway. Angle projection. Stone mullioned windows, with hood moulds, mostly
C20, throughout, of 4 lights to left, and 2 to right; first floor has 3-lights
and one-light above porch. C20 box roof dormer. Cross wing has much restored
single light, and 2 small chamfered lights on first floor. Left return side of
wing has restored 3-light mullioned window,and mid C20 two-light window above.
Right return side is 2-window range. 16-pane sashes with painted wood lintels.
Mid C20 box roof dormers have leaded casements. To rear: cross-wing has restored
4,3, and 2-light ovolo-moulded mullioned windows. Datestone inscribed R.H. C20
additions. Interior: room in cross-wing has large open fireplace with chamfered
bressumer. Stepped stop broad-chamfered ceiling beams. Room to left has moulded
ceiling beam. Kitchen has broad-chamfered beam. Bedrooms have ogee-chamfered
beams. One bedroom has chamfered Tudor arch stone fireplace. C18 moulded
2-panelled door.
