GV II

House, probably converted from a barn. C16/early C17, converted and altered mid
C19; C19 additions to rear. Regular coursed ironstone; additions of red brick.
Slate roof has coped gable parapets; C19 brick ridge and end stacks. T-plan,
with wing to rear. 2 storeys and attic; 5-window range. Diagonal buttresses and
2 half-octagonal buttresses have 2 offsets. Moulded 4-panelled door in moulded
wood doorcase with pilaster strips and simple entablature. Irregular
fenestration of 2 and 3-light casements with glazing bars and painted wood
lintels. 2 gabled roof dormers have casements with many glazing bars. Sashes to
rear. Interior: mid C19 straight flight staircase with twisted balusters. Former
open fireplace. Queen strut roof.
