House. Late C17. 2 builds. Regular coursed ironstone to right and limestone to
left. Steeply pitched thatched roof. Stone end and ridge stacks. Single storey
plus attic. 4-window range altogether. 2 entrances have plank doors, wooden door
frames and wood lintels. Doorway to left has a stop-chamfered lintel and small
overlight. Ground floor to left has a 3-light stone-mullioned window with hood
mould and label stop. To right and flanking the doorway a 3-light and 2-light
metal casement both with fragmentary remains of hood moulds. Attic floor has two
3-light and two 2-light metal casements partly in thatch. Interior: stop
chamfered beams and chamfered joists, inglenook fireplaces, one left with small
cupboards with decorated doors. Plank doors with strap hinges. Winder
staircase. Ground floor room to left said to have been used for shoeing horses
c.1900.
