attached stable to right

GV II

Farmhouse. Early C18 with late C18/early C19 extensions to rear. Ironstone
ashlar. Steeply pitched asbestos roof continues over both houses and stable.
Brick end stack on stone base. Single storey plus attic; 2-window range. C20
door to right has continuous wood lintel with C20 window to left. 2 casements to
attic. Stable attached to right has plank door with wood lintel flanked by
2-window openings with wood lintels. Loft opening above. Interior of farmhouse:
original farmhouse comprised one room which is now divided by a brick partition
into kitchen and passage. Kitchen has stop-chamfered beams and stop-chamfered
joists, C19 fireplace probably fronting inglenook, plank door to winder stair.
Stone flag floors. Late C18/early C19 brick extensions to rear incorporate a
cellar, buttery with brick floor and a dairy with red tile floor. Both rooms
have plank doors.
