GV II

Two cottages, now one house. Early C18 with later extensions and alterations.
Coursed squared blocks of limestone. Steeply pitched thatched roof. Brick ridge
and end stacks. Single storey plus attic. 4-window range. Entrance to left has
plank door and wood frame. Thatched canopy porch. Entrance is flanked by C20
casements with glazing bars. To left a 2-light C20 casement. To right two
2-light C20 casements. Ground floor windows have stone lintels. Attic has 4
half-dormers. Interior: stop-chamfered bressumers, inglenook fireplaces with
bread ovens. Chamfered beams. C20 staircase in circular well which is said to
have contained a wood spiral staircase. Interior stud partition.
