5/51 Manor Farmhouse

GV II

Farmhouse. Early C18 with C19 additions. Limestone ashlar with quoins, plain
storey band and coped gables on kneelers. Stone-slate roof with stone end
stacks. L-shaped plan. 2-storey, 3-window range. Three 2-light casements with
wood lintels to first floor, with C18 cross casement with stone lintel and
keyblock to ground floor right. To ground floor left a C19 Gothick canted bay
window with embattled parapet. Six-panelled door with plain overlight, moulded
stone surround and flat hood on consoles to centre. C19 two-storey range to rear
with artificial stone-slate roof. Six-panelled door within Gothick porch, and
sashes with quoined surrounds. Interior: chamfered spine beams with shallow
stepped stops. Stone flagged floors. C18 plank doors to ground floor.
