Offices, formerly Poor Law Institution. c.1837. Brick in Flemish bond with
plinth. Hipped slate roof. 2 storeys; nine-window range, the central 3-window
range projecting slightly under pediment. Double depth plan. To centre a large
4-panelled door with overlight and flat hood on consoles. To 8 ground floor
openings, and 9 first floor openings a 12-pane sash. Sashes to ground floor have
painted brick flat arches. To either side of building a contemporary one-storey,
one-window range with 12-pane sash to front. Further C19 and C20 extensions are
not of special architectural interest.
