GV II

Group of 4 chest tombs. 1748, 1818, 1830 and 1839. Limestone. All 4 chest tombs
rest on a flagstone and brick base with railings surround, the railings now
gone. That dated 1748 has a moulded plinth and baluster corners. One end is
carved with an orb overlooked by 3 putti heads. The other end depicts a putto
seated on an orb dangling a rose over a skull and part of a skeleton. Moulded
ledger. 2 identical chest tombs have moulded plinths with filleted corners and
plain ledgers. Chest tomb dated 1818 has simple moulded plinth and ledger.
