Farmhouse. C18, probably with C17 origins. Squared, coursed limestone and
limestone ashlar with quoins and coped gables. Slate roof. 2 storeys plus attic;
3-window range. 2-unit plan. To centre a C19 six-panelled door with chamfered
wood lintel. Small chamfered stone light to right. To left and right a C19
three-light casement. To left and centre of first floor a C19 two-light
casement, with a 3-light casement to right. All windows have wood lintels and
wood shutters. To rendered left gable end a 3-light, 18-pane, casement. 6-pane
sash above, with C19 two-light casement to attic. Wood shutters. To rear of
building a mostly C19 brick and stone range with slate roof and brick stacks.
This is of earlier origin with a 2-light, double-chamfered stone mullioned
window to right. Remaining windows are 16-pane sashes. Interior: noted as having
large open fireplace with chamfered stone surround and chamfered wood bressumer
with jewel stops. Large, chamfered spine beam with jewel stops. Further
part-blocked open fireplace. Stone flagged floors.
