GV II

Farmhouse. C17, remodelled early C19. Squared, coursed limestone with ironstone
and brick dressings. Brick gable ends. Slate roof with brick ridge, end and
internal stacks. 2 storeys. 4-window range. 4-unit plan. To centre left an old
plank door with 2 small glazed lights. Segmental brick arch. To centre right a
plank door with lintel and keyblock. Early C19 three-light casements to all
openings, some leaded. Those to far right replaced C20. Segmental brick arches.
One-storey outbuilding attached to right. Interior: large inglenook fireplace
with dressed stone surround and chamfered timber bressumer. Further inglenook
with chamfered stone surround with ogee stops. Cambered and chamfered timber
bressumer. Brick lined bread oven. Chamfered spine beams. Stone flagged floors.
