One building; two dwellings. C18 2 storey plus attic. 7 window red brick
facade with bracketed wood cornice and moulded plinth of painted stone,
slender attached columns at quoins all in continuation with No 25 above.
Sashes in brick shallow reveals with stone key blocks. No 27 has pedimented
doorcase with bracketed cornice, Tuscan pilasters, rusticated jambs and
semi-circular fanlight opening. Fielded panelled oak doors (probably modern).
Doorcase to No 27A is probably a modern replica and has incongruous stained
glass in fanlight. 4 pedimented dormers with rectangular leaded lights.
Old tiles. No 27 has post-1694 staircase.

All the listed buildings in High Street (South Side) form a group.
