MILL STREET (East Side)
No 43

10.1.53.

GV
II*
Building appears to have been part of Guy's Court (No 45), but is now a
separate dwelling. It consists of a probably C16 timber-framed cross wing
facing the lane and abutting entry to "Gables" (No 41). Gable head has
original moulded barge boards and turned finial. Upper storey has single
5-light oriel window with moulded transomes and mullions and ogee console
brackets. First floor is jettied and has similar but larger ogee brackets
to left and right hand sides. The greater part is of fairly close set
studding but splayed bay on ground floor is of C18 origin and is painted
to match timber framing. Old tiles.

All the listed buildings in Mill Street (both sides) form a group.
