The following Building shall be added:-
SP 2871
9/153 No 35 (White Lion
Public House)

Public House. C17 with C18 , C19 and C20 alterations and extensions.
Painted mainly stetcher band brick at front; sandstone rear wall,
timber frame in north west gable and brick rear wings. Plain tile
roof with gabled ends and brick dentil eaves. Brick gable end stacks.
2-room plan main range, the partition between the 2 rooms removed.
Circa late C19 rear wing, possibly a rebuilding and extension of an
earlier wing.

2 storey and attic. Asymmetrical 2 window south west front. Ground
floor 2 C20 canted bay windows and doorway to left of centre with C19
doorcase with chamfered pilasters and entablature with cornice canopy
2 C19 3-light casements on first floor and 2 gabled dormers with
casements. Similar dormer on first storey and attic wing to left with
C20 window and door on ground floor. At rear brick wing to left with
lean-to outshut on gable end and C20 single storey extensions.

INTERIOR: Partitions on ground floor of front range removed.
Chamfered axial beams, that at left (north west) end with broach
steps. First floor attic and north west range not inspected inside
NOTE: Deeds and conveyances from 1662 to 1820 and a reference of 1764
to a "White Lyon Inn"
