BARFORD Bridge Street
(west side)

House, circa C17. Red brick on stone plinth. Steeply pitched plain tile roof
with gabled ends, the gable copings ending in kneelers. Dentil brick eaves
cornice. Two storeys and attic, three bays. Three steps up to central
six-panel door under rectangular fanlight. Pilastered doorcase with pediment
supported on consoles. To either side and on first floor cross mullion/transom
windows, metal casements with leaded panes. All windows have segmental brick
arches and rendered cills. Two hipped dormers with two-light casements. Two
brick chimney stacks built centrally on gable ends.
