BARFORD Bridge Street
(west side)
No 17


Circa late C18 (1780) red brick house. Steeply pitched plain tile roof with
gabled ends. Brick modillion eaves cornice. Two storeys, three bays. Three
steps up to central six-panel door, reeded pilastered doorcase with entablature
and cornice hood. To either side modern cross mullion/transom three-light
casement windows with glazing bars in original openings. Segmental brick
arches. At first floor modern central two-light and to either side three-light
cross mullion/transom casement windows with glazing bars. Two brick ridge
chimney stacks at gables.
