BARFORD Church Lane
(south side)
No 4


Circa C17 timber-framed cottage with brick infill panels and some stone panels
to north gable. Steeply pitched thatched roof with gabled ends. One storey
and attic. At north gable late Cl9 four-panel door, upper two glazed; above is
a late C19 pair of casements. At west elevation a gabled porch with plain
tiled roof, and plank door. Two pairs of late Cl9 casements and one tiny
dormer at eaves level. Two brick ridge chimney stacks, one projects from south
gable. Late C19 brick lean-to against south gable.
