4/77 Camphill Farmhouse

Circa late C16/early C17 timber-framed house with red brick infill panels and
stone plinth. Steeply pitched hipped plain tile roof, gabled at rear. Two
storeys. Two by two window range. Two- and three-light casements with glazing
bars. Lean-to tile roofed porch with double boarded and studded front door.
Rebuilt brick ridge chimney stacks. Gabled wings at rear. The house is
situated on the edge of an Iron Age hill-fort. Interior: Ledged and boarded
doors, wide oak floorboards, chamfered and end stopped beams. Original
partition walls. Barrel vaulted cellar.
