Circa 1700. Fine red brick house with stone dressings. Steeply pitched plain
tile hipped roof with heavy moulded stone eaves cornice which breaks forward
over centre window. Stone giant corner pilasters. Three storeys. Five bays.
Sashes with glazing bars in moulded stone architraves with keyblocks and small
cill brackets. The centre first and second floor windows are in stone frontis-
piece containing rusticated stone doorway with small cornice, large rectangular
fanlight with lattice glazing bars and heavy fielded-panel door. Small C19 and
C20 additions at rear and side. Interior: good mid C18 principal staircase with
two turned balusters per step, carved tread-ends and panelled plaster stairwell.
