Circa late C18/early C19 century sandstone ashlar lodge at eastern entrance to
Stoneleigh Deer Park. Steeply pitched plain tile roof with stone coped gable
end towards road. Two storeys with central carriage arch of three splayed
orders with hood mould. Above archway is a window of two-trefoil lights with
tracery in pointed arch with hood mould. To right of archway is lodge keeper's
cottage with entrance from within archway. On elevation facing road, at ground
floor a four-light mullion/transom window and above at first floor a two-trefoil
light window with tracery in round arch with hood mould. Large stepped buttres-
ses at both ends of lodge. Inside archway is rib vaulted ceiling and to left a
recessed seat with ogee head and hood mould. Sandstone flanking wall to left
and right of Lodge.
