Church. C11/C12 origins; C13 nave; C14 tower and chancel; C15 nave arcades;
C16 north aisle; restoration by Bodley and Garner c.1872. Squared coursed stone;
old plain tile roof to nave and chancel; roof of north aisle and tower not
visible. 3-bay chancel, central tower, 2-bay nave, and 7-bay north aisle
North side: 2-centre arched doorway with plank door to right of centre of nave.
3-light stone mullion windows to centre of north aisle and to east and west
ends. 3-light stone mullion window with Perpendicular lights to left of north
aisle. 2-light stone mullion window with lancet lights to right of north aisle.
Plain stone parapet to north aisle. 4-light Curvilinear tracery window to east
end of Chancel. South side. C19 porch to left of centre of nave, with plank door
to 2-centred archway. Two 3-light intersecting tracery windows to centre of
nave. 2-light stone mullion windows with lancet lights to right of nave and to
left of chancel. 4-centre arched doorway to centre of chancel. West end:
Tudor-arched doorway to centre with hoodmould and plank studded double-leaf
door. 5-light Perpendicular tracery window above. Tower: Y-tracery louvred
opening for each side of bell-chamber. Battlemented parapet to tower. Interior:
3-bay arch-braced collar-truss roof with arch-bracing to common rafter trusses forming
barrel vault. Late C17 altar rail of turned baluster balustrade. C15 wood screen
to north aisle with plain panels to bottom and quatrefoils to top. 7-bay flat
roof to north aisle, having C19 painted decoration to spine and cross beams.
2-centre chancel arch on octagonal half-columns. Crossing has 2-centred arches
on shafted crossing piers. C15 stone pulpit to crossing with tracery panels to
sides. 2-bay wood barrel-vaulted roof to nave. North and south nave arcades of
two 2-centre arches on octagonal piers.
