Former parsonage, now flats. c.1840; right range is partly a C20 addition or
reconstruction. Probably by Thomas Larkin Walker for John Toon. English bond
brick with stone dressings. Old plain-tile roofs have ridge cresting and
stone-coped gable parapets. Brick ridge stacks have moulded stone cornices and
embattled tops. L-plan, of 2 parallel ranges. Tudor Gothic style. 2 storeys;
4-window range. Straight-headed doorway in angle has moulded Tudor arch, moulded
spandrels and hood mould. 2-light mullioned window above. Moulded stone-coped
parapet. Hollow-chamfered stone mullioned and transomed windows throughout; left
range has hood moulds to all ground-floor windows. 3-light windows to right are
lead-latticed. Gable above. Projecting left range has moulded splay plinth and
string course. Right corner has cross windows to front and return side, with
hood moulds to ground floor and painted iron decorative glazing. Left return
side to All Saints Square of 1-1-1 bays. Gabled range on right has blue brick
basement with single lights. Ground floor and centre have paired cross windows.
First floor has stone canted oriel with trefoiled ogee straight-headed lights,
brattished cornice and stone roof. Large stack of 4 diagonally-set square
shafts. Left range has canted end and 2-light mullioned windows. Interior not
inspected. Wall attached to right of entrance range has moulded stone doorway
and stone coping, and is approximately 3 metres high. Forms part of the
Chamberlaine's Almshouses complex (q.v.).
