Vicarage, now offices. Mid C17, with mid C19 cross-wing and alterations. English
bond brick with stone dressings. Plain-tile roofs have stone-coped shaped gable
parapets throughout, mostly with moulded kneelers. C19 brick ridge and external
stacks. T-plan, with cross-wing on left. 2 storeys; 8-window range. Front has 5
gables. Large open-fronted porch in angle has ogee gable with moulded cornice
and kneelers. Moulded stone round arch has imposts and keystone. 9-panelled door
inside. Small windows to left and right have moulded stone architraves with
keystones. Sash above has moulded stone architrave. Slightly-projecting 3-window
central range has 2 ogee gables. Ground floor has small single light, and
staircase window above. 2-window right range has small single lights on left.
C19/C20 wood cross windows have horizontal glazing bar and brick segmental
arches. Cross-wing is taller and wider, with string courses and large external
stack. Narrow flanking sashes, of 8 lights to ground floor and 6-lights above,
have moulded stone architraves with keystones. Left return side has two 2-storey
polygonal bay windows with triple-hung sashes to ground floor. First floor has
round-arched sashes to front. Hipped roofs. Chamfered stone architraves have
moulded cornices continued as string course. Moulded cornice. Front to
churchyard of 1-1-3-2-1 bays, with gables throughout. First bay is of one storey
and attic. 3-bay range projects slightly, and has high parapet with 3 ogee
gables. Cross-wing on right is set back slightly, and is similar to entrance
front. Sashes have moulded stone architraves with keystones; some are possibly
late C20 insertions. Interior: C19 dog-leg staircase has vertically symmetrical
balusters. Some 6-panelled doors.
