Lodge. 1840s. Probably by Augustus Welby Northmore Pugin for Captain J. Washington Hibbert.
Flemish bond brick with limestone dressings. Shaped tile transverse double-span
roof has moulded stone coped gable parapets with gablet kneelers and finials;
brick external stacks with decorated octagonal shafts have stone dressings.
L-plan with wing on left. Gothic Revival style. One storey; one-window range.
Gabled front. Left range has chamfered brick segmental-pointed arch and plank
door. Return sides have 3-light windows. Trefoiled lancets with glazing bars
throughout. Left return side has C20 casement. Right return side has external
stack of 3 offsets. Right range has 2-light window. Interior not inspected.
