Farmhouse. C16, with early C18 range to left and C19 rear additions. Right range
of regular coursed limestone with some lias. C18 range of Flemish bond brick
with limestone dressings. Old tile roofs; C18 range has coped parapet; brick end
stacks. Irregular T-plan with wing to rear. C16 range is of 2 storeys and attic;
one-, formerly 2-window range. Ground floor has large C20 five-light wood
mullioned and transomed window. First floor has remains of moulded mullioned
windows, with blocked single light to left and C20 casement inserted into
2-light window on right. C19 roof dormer has 2-light casement with glazing bars.
C18 range is 3 storeys; 3-window range. Rusticated alternating quoins, string
courses and moulded cornice. Moulded architraves largely renewed in cement.
Symmetrical front. C20 panelled door has overlight with glazing bars. Architrave
has keyblock and segmental pediment. Sashes, replaced 1970, have similar
architraves but without pediment. Cornice breaks forward above keyblocks on
second floor. Left return side of 4 bays. Windows have brick flat arches with
keyblocks; third bay blocked on first floor. Second floor has rendered flat
arches; first and second bays blocked. Rear is irregular. Interior: entrance
hall has corner cupboard with keyed round-arched panelled door and dentil
cornice. Fielded 6-panelled doors. Open well staircase has turned balusters.
