Cottage. Semi-detached, formerly detached. C17, extended to left C18. Right part
is timber framed with brick infill; left part of Flemish bond brick. Thatched
roof, half-hipped to left; brick right end stack. One-unit, extended to 2-unit
plan. One storey and attic; 2-window range. Central late C20 timber and brick
porch has thatched hipped roof. Ribbed door and side-light. Ground-floor and
left return side have -light casements with glazing bars, and brick segmental
arch to left. First floor has swept dormers, with small cross-glazed 2-light
casement to left, and 3-light casement with many glazing bars to right. Rear has
swept dormer. Late C20 outshut to right. Interior has exposed framing of former
external wall in room to left. Ogee-stop-chamfered ceiling beam. Room to right
has late C20 rebuilt open fireplace, but inside are 2 original cupboards with
fielded panelled doors. Some exposed wattle and daub. First floor has stud
partitions and exposed framing.
