Ashby-de-la-Zouch Canal

Canal bridge. c.1800. Repaired late C20. Limestone ashlar; top course of parapet
renewed and some patching with rendered concrete blocks. String course and
rounded coping. Semi-circular arch. Ends curve out to square piers. Cast-iron
number plate. The canal was begun in 1794 and completed in 1804.
