Farmhouse. Late C18. Red brick of varied bonding but mainly Flemish bond. Roof
hipped to front and gabled to 2 rear ranges. Blue/black plain-tiles, and dentil
eaves cornice. Central ridge stack, rebuilt above the ridge. Double pile plan.
Two storeys and attic. South front to garden is framed by rusticated sandstone
quoins and sandstone plinth and divided by a band also of sandstone with a
moulded upper and lower edge. Header bricks and segmental arches to 2 first
floor C20 cross-frame casements of 3-lights. Similar ground floor fenestration.
Entry front in west wall with brick plinth. Similar segmental arches to 3 wood
casements, including one blocked window opening. Central doorway has moulded
wood architrave and 6 raised and fielded panelled door. Rear wall has old leaded
light casements and a doorway under segmental arch with door of one and half
bead and quirk moulded leaves. Interior: central hall plan. 3 flight staircase.
Closed-string with turned balusters and square newels. Reused beams in roof.
