Pair of lodges with attached gatepiers and gates. Late C18. Each lodge of brick,
stuccoed. Low pitch pyramidal roof of slate with ball-finial and moulded stone
cornice. Single storey with window in recessed round headed arch to north and
south walls. Doorway in square head in side walls facing the carriageway.
Rusticated gatepiers with moulded stone cornice. Wrought-iron gates presented in
1935. Lodges possibly by Matthew Brettingham.
