Bentleys Farmhouse

GV II

House. Early C17, C18 and late C20. Timber-framed, with red brick infill, and red brick. Plain-tiled roof, hipped to south-east end. Ridge stack. Original plan of single range, extended on the north-west, and again by a range on the south-west. Main range of 2 storeys. On the front, red brick with late C20 wood casements at first and ground floors. Rear and gable end walls have exposed timber-framing. The south-west wing is also of red brick with plain-tiled roof. 2 storeys. Late C20 casements at first and ground floors. Late C20 lean-to porch of brick in the angle. The addition to the north-west is mid/late C17. One storey and attic. 5 late C20 wood gable dormers. Ground floor has 2 bow windows, also late C20.
