House. Late C17. Red brick, Flemish bond on coursed sandstone plinth.
Plain-tiled roof with two ridge stacks, one to each crossing. Half-H plan.
Cellar, two storeys and attic. Two gables to front with tabled dentil cornice.
Segmental arch to wood casement in each gable. Symmetrical 3-window range of C20
wood casements under segmental arches. Central doorway with original flat canopy
of sandstone. Later C18 doorcase with panelled reveals and panelled door with
two smaller glazed panels. Flanking full length casements. The south elevation
has restored C19 2-storey bays. Interior: The house has an inglenook hearth in
one room. Raised and fielded panelled doors and early C19 closed string,
closed-well staircase with stick balusters. Roof of staggered butt purlin
construction with ashlar pieces.
