Chimney to the parlour and upper chamber of a house which has been demolished.
c.1600. Squared and coursed red sandstone with narrow red brick to the two
shafts and to the rear walls of the fireplaces. There are splayed offsets to the
chimney stack. The shafts have V-shaped pilasters and projecting capping. One
fireplace remaining at ground and first floor. The ground floor hearth is larger
and has an ogee head of stone, and a splayed rear wall. The first floor hearth
is smaller but also has an ogee head. There is a similar chimney stack to Old
Farmhouse, Tamworth Road, Over Whitacre (q.v.). Included for group value.
