Row of houses, now shops. Early/mid C18 with C19 alterations. Flemish bond brick
with string course; all but No.2 on left are colourwashed. Old plain-tile roof;
brick stacks to rear. Double-depth plan. 2 storeys and attic; 6-window range.
No.2 on left has C20 shop front. No.4 has mid/late C19 shop front with pilasters
and entablature, and recessed half-glazed 4-panelled door and overlight. Each
has a 16-pane sash with rusticated rendered flat arch to first floor, and a
boarded-up hipped roof dormer. No. 6 has mid/late C19 moulded 4-panelled door and
overlight, and moulded wood doorcase of chamfered pilasters and entablature with
shallow cornice hood. Early C19 canted shop bay has glazing bars. Plank door to
passage on right. Two C18 wood mullioned and transomed 3-light windows above
have horizontal glazing bar. Boarded-up hipped roof dormer. No. 8 has C19 shop
front with half-glazed door. C19 two-light windows to right and above. Nos.6 and
8 have gauged brick flat arches to openings. Interiors noted as having some
chamfered beams.
