GV II
House, part of a row, and attached gatepiers, gate and railings. Early C19 with
mid/late C19 alterations and additions. Front is rendered over brick. Plain-tile
double-span roofs. L-plan, with wing on right to rear. 3 storeys; 2-window front
range. Sashes throughout, with a single tripartite window to ground floor, and
6-pane to second floor. Rusticated rendered flat arches with triple keyblocks.
Right return side has large canted oriel to first floor with 16-pane sash, and
panelled base on moulded and shaped brackets. Range set back on right, probably
late C19, has recessed 6-panelled door and fanlight, and moulded round arch and
Tuscan half-columns in moulded straight-headed surround with cornice. Both
ranges have gables on shaped brackets. Gatepiers, attached on left, are
early/mid C19. Vermiculated sandstone. Cast iron gate and railings have
continuous X and guilloche bands, and spear cresting.
