House. c.1820. Stuccoed, with moulded cornice and parapet. Hipped slate roof; 2
stuccoed ridge stacks. Central staircase plan, with wings attached towards rear.
Regency style, with Greek Revival porch. 2 storeys and basement; 3 bays.
Symmetrical front has slightly recessed angles. Greek Doric porch has flight of
5 steps with stucco openwork balustrades and pedestals with fluted urns, and
wrought-iron balcony railing. Double-leaf 8-panelled doors and sidelights
beneath large segmental-arched fanlight. 4-pane sashes, set in round arches on
ground floor. French window above porch has overlight and casements with glazing
bars and margin bars in moulded architrave. Octagonal glazed lantern has lead
pagoda roof with weathervane. One-bay wings of one storey and basement, set far
back on left and right, are in similar style, with 12-pane sashes. Interior is
noted as having staircase with iron balustrade.
