Farmhouse, C16/C17 with front range rebuilt or added early C18, and some C19
alterations and rebuilding. Timber-framed with whitewashed brick infill; part of
left range rebuilt in C18/C19 brick. Front range of regular coursed sandstone
with string course and moulded cornice has left corner and return side with
imitation ashlar render. Old plain-tile roofs; front range has parapet and
crow-stepped gable parapets. Brick: ridge, end and internal stacks. Complex
irregular plan+ C18 range is of 2 storeys; 4 bays. Slightly projecting third bay
has Cl9 ribbed door and overlight in massively rusticated surround with triple
keystones. C19 wood cross windows have horizontal glazing bars and segmental
arches with keystones. 2-window range set back on left has 120 porch to left.
Blocked segmental-arched opening on right on ground floor has old one-light
window with horizontal glazing bars. Irregular C20 fenestration. To rear is
exposed framing with jowled posts to gable end. Interior is noted as having
broad stop-chamfered beans and an altered open fireplace with fire windows
