Former farmhouse. Late C17/early C18, with some C19 and C20 alterations. Flemish
and Flemish stretcher bond brick with string courses. Old plain-tile roof has
gaole parapets with simple kneelers; brick ridge and lateral stacks to return
sides. Irregular U-plan. 2 storeys and attic;. 4-window range. Centre has shallow
projections in re-entrant angles, Late C20 half-glazed door. Mostly mid/late C20
three-light casements with glazing bars throughout. Late C19 one-storey addition
in angle on right has hipped roof. Wings have C19 canted bays to ground floor,
with 4-light wood mullioned and transomed windows with glazing bars; left window
is C20. Gables have string courses and attic windows. Rear is irregular, with
left wing projecting and right wing set back. Interior has broad-chamfered
ceiling beans, Simple open well staircase has turned balusters with 2 shaft
rings.
