Inn. Early C18. Plastered red brick; plain tile roof with stone coped verges
capped at the corners by ball finials; brick integral end stacks. 2 storeys and
attic with first floor band, rusticated quoins of unequal length breaking
through an oversailing eaves cornice carried on large console brackets with an
egg and dart moulded band below. 7 bays; 20-pane glazing bar sashes; the ground
floor windows are C20 replacements; 5 attic dormers with glazing bar casements
and hipped roofs. Large central carriage entrance with moulded surround, now
containing the principal entrance to the hotel proper.
