House, now offices. Late C18, remodelled and extended in the early to mid-C19.
Plastered walls lined as ashlar; plain tile roof; brick ridge stacks. Roughly
L-shaped in plan. East elevation: 2 storeys with boldly moulded eaves cornice
and plain coped parapet carried round the gable of the left-hand bay. 3-window
front: No.138 to the right has glazing bar casements with straight hood moulds
and a central door with blocked fanlight; No.140 to the left has a Venetian
window on each floor, and a 6-panel door to the right with panelled doorcase.
South elevation: 2 storeys with cornice and parapet carried round from the east
front. 1:4 window front: C19 glazing bar casements with 3-centred heads and hood
moulds with block stops and raised keys. The left-hand bay projects forward; it
is a C19 extension and has a dentilled eaves band and hipped roof with the ridge
at a higher level than the main building. The west front of this extension has 2
bays of 16-pane glazing bar sashes with segmental heads and hood moulds and a
square porch in the centre with rectangular overlight.
