House. Early C17. Timber-framed with roughcast brick infill panels; plain-tile
roof; brick integral end stacks. 2-cell range aligned east-west facing north
with single-bay extensions to each end. 2 storeys: 3 tiers of rectangular panels
to eaves level and straight braces. Irregular fenestration: mainly casements, 2
to each floor. C20 lean-to porch to the right; blocked doorway to left of
centre. 2 storey timber-framed extension to the right, single-storey extension
to the left with painted framing, probably on top of earlier framing. The left
hand gable of the main house has an exposed queen strut roof truss carrying one
part of purlins and a ridge piece, and heavily jowelled cornerposts. Interior:
chamfered and stopped ceiling beams; large open fireplace in the eastern bay of
the main house.
