2/78 Boundary wall of churchyard of
St. John the Baptist
Wall. C17, partly rebuilt in the C19. Coursed and squared sandstone. The wall
encloses the north, south and east sides of the churchyard of St. John the
Baptist. The C17 parts have a chamfered plinth and a rounded or pitched coping.
Much of the east side has been rebuilt in the C19 and a section to the north
side has been replaced in brick. On the south side there are drainage loops, and
a blocked gateway towards the west end. Included for group value.
