SZ68NW CENTURION'S LANE
1352-0/2/9 Hay Barn to E of Bembridge Farmhouse
GV II

Barn. 2 builds, south part probably C17 or early C18, of 5
bays, north part C19 extension of 2 bays. Built of Isle of
Wight stone rubble with corrugated asbestos roof. Brick
quoined surround to cart entrance. 7 triangular stone
ventilation slits. C19 extension has plain cart entrance and
metal window in gable end.
Interior full of hay at time of survey but appeared to have
roof of through purlins and queen struts without a ridge
piece. Attached late C19 brick stabling to west not of special
interest.
