II

House. Early C19 extended mid C19. Stuccoed with incised lines
to imitate masonry. Hipped slated roof. Cemented chimneystacks
and wooden eaves. North-east end early C19. 2 storeys
stuccoed. Hipped slate roof. End cemented chimneystacks.
Paired bracket eaves cornice and band between floors 3
casement windows with Venetian shutters on 1st floor. Ground
floor has tent-shaped verandah on 4 fluted iron columns with
plumed capitals. French windows behind with reeded architraves
and paterae. Mid C19 north-west side is in similar material
and has 6 windows to the main house and 2 windows to the
slightly lower service wing. Some modern casements on 1st
floor and 24 pane sashes to ground floor. Entrance is via an
angled conservatory with brick base. Doorcase has Tuscan
columns, open pediment, shell fanlight and 6-panel double
doors. Conservatory is no longer octagonal, with a cupola and
with a curved glazed passage.
