Mid C19. Red brick. Hipped slate roof with overhanging eaves on paired carved
brackets. Brick stacks. 3 storeys. 2 ranges of windows; left hand one a 3-storey
late C19 wooden bay with carving and moulding of extraordinary virtuosity; right
hand one sashes with glazing bars (lst floor tripartite) over segment-headed
carriage entrance with panelled double doors. Moulded flat hood on elaborate
brackets over whole of ground floor. The virtuoso carving was intended as an
advertisement for its then owner, a furniture maker.
